Subject: [Materia] Seminario de investigación

Buenas tardes,

Nos gustaría invitaros al siguiente seminario:

Ponente: Dr. Nicholas Reynolds (Universidad de Granada - Dep. Matemática Aplicada).

Hora y Lugar: 16 de Mayo de 12:00 a 13:00 en el aula A11.

Título: Systems of coupled oscillators: From Stuart-Landau to Schrödinger-Lohe
Abstract: In this talk we will follow a natural progression of several models of synchronization dynamics. We will begin with the Stuart-Landau equation, the simplest description of a limit cycle oscillator, ˙z(t) = (α + iω − |z|2)z. Kuramoto’s famous model of phase synchronization was derived from coupling such oscillators and has seen a wealth of study from various scientific disciplines.
Despite this fact, the study of coupled Stuart-Landau oscillators, absent Kuramoto’s reduction, is largely absent until recently. I will present some preliminary results in this direction based off of a joint work with Ana P Millan, David Poyato, and Francesco Tudisco. We will then overview the Kuramoto model, and its higher order generalizations, the Lohe Matrix model, and the Schrödinger-Lohe model of quantum synchronization. Results around the Schrödinger-Lohe model will be based off a joint work with Paolo Antonelli.

Keywords: Classical and Quantum Synchronization, Stuart-Landau model, Kuramoto model, Lohe Matrix model, Schrödinger-Lohe model

Atentamente,

Ana P Millán
