Hola, os recuerdo que maƱana hay un seminario muy interesante.
Martes 4 de junio a las 10:00 en el aula A22 de la Facultad de Ciencias.
Fluctuations, precision and transport far from thermodynamic equilibriumSingle-molecule and particle-tracking experiments interrogate physical observables along individual trajectories. These observables typically correspond to low-dimensional projections of high-dimensional dynamics or a spatially coarse-grained (e.g. "binned") version thereof, and the experiments are generically analyzed by time-averaging along individual traces. It has long been known that projections that couple to slow hidden degrees of freedom give rise to memory in the observed dynamics. However, we are only beginning to understand their implications for thermodynamics and observed transport, in particular in systems driven far from thermodynamic equilibrium. I will review our recent efforts on how to describe and understand fluctuations, dissipation, and precision on the basis of path-based observables in systems driven arbitrarily far form equilibrium.
