Title: Thermodynamically consistent master equation in a low density gas with internal structure Speaker: Giulio Gasbarri, University of Siegen Abstract: We present a thermodynamically consistent master equation for a quantum system interacting with a dilute gas whose particles possess internal degrees of freedom. Starting from microscopic scattering theory, the framework captures both elastic and inelastic collisions and guarantees detailed balance when the gas is in thermal equilibrium.
