We cordially invite you to attend the sixth annual Workshop on Stochastic Thermodynamics (WOST VI), which will be held May 12-16, 2025. This workshop is entirely online and free to attend for everyone. The workshop website

Abstract

Stochastic thermodynamics has revolutionized our understanding of far-from-equilibrium statistical physics over the last few decades and continues to result in profound, powerful results, ranging from fluctuation theorems to speed-limit theorems to thermodynamic uncertainty relations. With this online workshop, we aim to provide a platform for everyone interested in stochastic thermodynamics to present and discuss their current research, with emphasis on recent results in stochastic thermodynamics (both theoretical and experimental aspects) and its applications to other fields.  

Scope

The workshop's primary aim is to have a wide-ranging cross-section of the stochastic thermodynamics community present their current research in one forum. The main topics include applications of stochastic thermodynamics to:

•  Fundamental Principles 
•  Physics and Chemistry
•  Biophysics and Active Matter
•  Quantum Stochastic Thermodynamics
•  Computation and Information Processing  

Call for lightning talks

10-minute lightning talks will be chosen from 1-page abstract submissions, with priority given to early-career researchers (students, postdocs, and junior faculty). Further information and abstract submission instructions:
