Dear all,

I already have 1 TFG. I would gladly supervise a second at this point.

My first TFG student wants to focus on classical simulation, hybrid QC and HPC. I could be interested in talking to

"The second who has confirmed an interest in the proposed projects is Jose Luis Márquez Soriano.  He is currently on ERASMUS at the university of Trieste.  He has expressed interest in the second project we proposed about Bell and/or contextuality violations.  He has mentioned that his project in Trieste involved Bell inequalities and that he would be keen to continue on it…  This would be a good option considering that if he has already done a project on it the learning curve will not be this great for him."

I currently have projects on quantum algorithms / quantum protocols / quantum machine learning applied to verification / benchmarking / classification of quantum properties or quantum experiments. E.g., using SVMs or shadows to verify contextuality, Wigner negativity, entanglement, fidelities, etc. This is suitable!

Best,
JJ

Hello all.

So far we have had two  students interested in pursuing a TFG with us.

One of them is Guillermo Garcia Domingo who has expressed interest in Benchmarking.  Of all candidates thus far Guillermo is the one with the best nota in his carrera.

The second who has confirmed an interest in the proposed projects is Jose Luis Márquez Soriano.  He is currently on ERASMUS at the university of Trieste.  He has expressed interest in the second project we proposed about Bell and/or contextuality violations.  He has mentioned that his project in Trieste involved Bell inequalities and that he would be keen to continue on it…  This would be a good option considering that if he has already done a project on it the learning curve will not be this great for him.

@Juani and @ Giulio…  As the second project involves mainly you guys’s stuff I can direct him to you for more info.

I should mention that both of these students were in my computer class last year.  I have politely asked Luis to send me his marks so far (Guille already has).  The rest have remained silent (i guess we frightened them a bit by telling them that they will have to start in the summer.)

That is all.  Let me know if you would be interested in any of these students.  I would take Guille but with him and Arsenyi  I cannot take on any more.  If any of the junior folk though want to take someone I would be happy to agree to co-supervise.

Michalis
