PhD position in Quantum Algorithms for High-Energy Physics

The Quantum Matter and Information group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT) UAM-CSIC invites applications for a PhD position funded by the QUITEMAD project. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Daniel González-Cuadra, focusing on developing quantum simulation algorithms tailored to lattice gauge theories. The project will explore innovative approaches to efficiently incorporate fermionic matter fields into quantum computers, by combining analytical and numerical techniques from quantum many-body physics, quantum information, and particle physics.

The starting date is fall 2025 (flexible), and the deadline for applications is April 30. Further details about the position and the application process can be found here: https://www.gonzalez-cuadra.com/open-positions
