Buenos días. Desde el Grupo de Termodinámica y Computación Cuántica de la Universidad de Granada queremos invitar a alumnos y alumnas de todas las etapas (grado, máster y doctorado), así como a investigadores e investigadoras, a participar en nuestro Quantum Journal Club. Esta actividad se celebrará los martes de 10 a 11 en el Laboratorio de Física Computacional del Área de Física de la Materia (planta baja del edificio de Física, Facultad de Ciencias. Las personas interesadas en participar deben mandar un email a: manzano(a)onsager.ugr.es <mailto:manzano@onsager.ugr.es> El funcionamiento será el siguiente: - Cada día uno de los participantes presentará un artículo de interés. Puede ser reciente o histórico. Después habrá un tiempo de discusión sobre el artículo. - Se podrá participar presencialmente u online. - Dependiendo del número de participantes nos reuniremos semanalmente o cada dos semanas. - Cada participante deberá presentar al menos una vez y hay que asistir al menos al 80% de sesiones para poder obtener el certificado. Habrá un certificado por semestre. - Los artículos pueden ser de cualquier campo relacionado con la cuántica. Esto incluye, pero no está limitado a, Fundamentos de la Física Cuántica, Física Atómica, Física de la Materia, Termodinámica y Computación Cuántica. Torres (Departaménto de Electromagnetísmo y Física de la Matéria) Titulo: A biological inspired quantum synapse paradigm Resumen: In this talk, I will review our recent research on the development of quantum neural networks, including biologically inspired dynamic qubits interactions. Our motivation was to build quantum versions of synaptic processes as they occur in real neural systems, that is, to build "quantum synapses" between qubits. In particular, I will report the results on the study of a minimal model of two interacting qubits with an activity-dependent dynamic interaction as in classical dynamic synapses that induce the so-called synaptic depression, that is, synapses that exhibit synaptic fatigue after a strong presynaptic stimulation. Our study shows that such time-dependent interaction induces Rabi oscillations whose frequency decreases when synaptic depression is introduced, thus excitations can be trapped for a long period of time. Our motivation was to build quantum versions of synaptic processes as they occur in real neural systems, that is, to build "quantum synapses" between qubits. In particular, I will report the results on the study of a minimal model of two interacting qubits with an activity-dependent dynamic interaction as in classical dynamic synapses that induce the so-called synaptic depression, that is, synapses that exhibit synaptic fatigue after a strong presynaptic stimulation. Our study shows that such time-dependent interaction induces Rabi oscillations whose frequency decreases when synaptic depression is introduced, thus excitations can be trapped for a long period of time.
